Subject: what's up with me

Ok, I know I haven't written in a while but I was without email for some time. I got the tickets yesterday (I spent the weekend in Berlin). Did you get anything about financial aid? I think they should be sent pretty soon. I guess I will be needing to fill that out pretty soon.I emailed the guy about Latvia (I'm going there tomorrow (my final trip for this time). I think it would be great to do research under this guy or something. What I'm doing: Teaching English ($7/hr, 20h/wk)Polish (2hr/day) German (class: 3hr/wk) Russian (class) Intro to Holocaust studies (April 4-14) (oxford prof) Ballroom dancing Polish dancing I took the German placement exam and guess what!! I placed into the second semester of first year. I was really excited. And it's sooo cheap here. $100 for a semester course. (too bad I'm leaving early)I also am preparing for my ra stuff. The library is closed at the consulate so I will have to study some other way, but I think that the oral is less knowledge and more social skills and such... so I guess by hanging out with friends and traveling, I am preparing for the exam! ( I lead a group through Berlin and am leading another through the Baltics). I really like the group that is here now. They are from Lewis and Clark in Portland. I will tell you more about Berlin later and also about Latvia. (hopefully after next week, I will be a net earner rather than a net debtor... why is it that when I finally have been somewhere long enough to start making money, I leave?
