35 e-mails chronicling the last year of Jack's life

E-MAIL #21 ~ 10/11/07

Hi ya'll.

We spent a good hour straight with Jack yesterday and then spoke with his nurse for quite awhile after. Jack was in good spirits and more talkative. His numbers are good and they are decreasing the steroids as per orders. all good news. He is walking laps in the mornings with his physical therapists and can get himself up and down out of bed. His prognosis is positive and best case scenario is he will be released by the 2nd week of November. He will need to stay down here for a few weeks but God willing he will be back in Dallas by Christmas.

Keep praying and please send him cards and care packages. He really enjoyed the one from sister Eileen. Also I suggested to Barb to bring in a cd player with headphone to listen to books on cd. He would also enjoy any cds on books, that are of his preference , sent to him so that he doesn’t have to listen to talk radio all day and night. Dvds are a bit ambitious right now for him. We are on our way back to see him soon and will try to meet with his doctor and team tomorrow morning at 9 or 10.

Keep your prayers coming for Barb as well. Her eye is healing, but slowly. Also, she is so concerned over Jack and not being here, so stress is exhausting her. She is very encouraging and staying positive, but Im sure she is weary.

Blessings to ya'll, Jeanne and Nancy
