I met with the Blood and Marrow transplant people today. They have a schedule for me that sort of set me back on my heals. Because of chromosomal damage they say I am in a high risk category so I must go through a bone marrow transplant after my Chemo ends, probably starting in August. Luckily since I have five Siblings and each has a one in 4 chance of matching, we will find someone to match me. Eileen, please send me an updated address list so MD Anderson can send out kits. The bone marrow transplant takes 100 days. I will spend the first month in the hospital then the next two months as an out patient here in Houston and have to have a person stay with me during the whole 2 month recovery time. They say if I do all this , I have an 80% chance of recovering. All this is a logistical and financial nightmare, but I'm sure, as always, God will provide. We will take one step at a time and go for the best result.
