This is the Joshua Tree
It was named by the Mormons who viewed it as Joshua with arms raised urging them forward.
We made a point to visit El Cajon so Zach could visit his friend, Father Andy.
We left Andy and headed north.
After three hours up the coast, we stopped at a beach park in north Malibu.
