Wooly Caterpillar Day

Today's been fine. The house lady tried to get me up early, but I told her later. I rolled out about 7:45. I was able to listern to all of Beethovans 5th and Paul Simon before I left for school. I arrived just as the morning meeting was breaking up. I had four classes so far (it's my lunchbreak) and I'll sneek home after the next class. -- LATER ON FRIDAY -- It was hot. After 5th and final class yesterday, I read some mail from the PC office and a letter from Maggie. I went home, changed into a cooler t-shirt and grabed my camera. Raced back to school on my bike and proceeded to take a few dozen pictures of the students picking the big green hairy caterpillers from the trees around the school. I joined in and with a long bamboo pole, I knocked may a caterpiller from his position. The girls had sticks and chopstick-like devices with which they picked up the giant caterpillers and put them in plastic bags and buckets. There was an occassional shreek as a caterpiller would be knocked close to a girl. SHREEK!! I peddled home after an hour or so and because I was hungry, I fixed myself some beans. It was really neat. The first time I've heard thunder here in Korea. Thunder!! and a flash raincoming down in sheets, so hard that it knocked out all the electricity in Mu kuk. I lit up my gas lantern for light. I decided to bike over to Mr. Jang's and see if I could borrow his cassette player for the night. I talked to him a while and he told me of his "scandel" (as he calles it) . He's having an affair with Miss Chung and the principal and a few others know. He's all worried. Strange. Well, from 6:30 to 12 midnight I recorded and re-recorded music. I was going to stay up longer, but I decied my sleep was pretty important, so, I went to bed
