The Assembly of God

My family of four first began to attend an Assembly of God in Eugene. This was the Willamette Christian Center (WCC) on 18th Avenue, down the hill from Jeanne' house. Although it was technically AG, the founding pastor Murray McLeese, made it nearly an independent church. When we moved to Eugene in 1980 the new building was just starting construction. A local resession occured and parts of the grounds remained un-completed for years. Pastor McLeese was always asking for money to complete the buildings. My wife and I taught a 5th grade Sunday School class for a few years. We used a "monkey jar" to reward with candy sometimes.

When we moved to Wisconsin, we looked around a while, then began attending the Tomah Assembly of God.

In California we looked around for a good church and finally settled into Trinity Community Church (TCC) in San Rafael.
