Political Philosophy

I have been thinking about Politics since Fifth Grade when John Kennedy won the White House in the 1960 presidential election. My interest in politics is always high, but it peaks during election years.

My political philosophy has been shaped by:

  • My upbringing and parentage (1960 to 1968)
  • My experiences at Ball State University (1969 to 1972)
  • My religious conversion (1971)
  • Reading Plato, Augustine, the Bible and C.S. Lewis (1972 to present)
  • A class in Politics at the University of Oregon (1983)
  • Reason and discussion with family and friends
