Ronald Reagan

The day after Reagan was elected, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Eugene newspaper: "It looks like Archey Bunker's wish has come true. -- Mister, we can use a man like Herber Hoover again". I could never understand why the masses liked this man. He seemed to me to be an affable lout, with zero compassion. I voted against him twice, both times acts of futility.Thank goodness for the 8-year term limit. He could have been in the White House for 12 years.
