I am retired and looking for a challenge. I can't climb to mountaintops, visit more countries, or collect more junk. I have visited all 50 of the United States + DC. So my Everest-like project is to visit all 58 counties in California during the calendar year of 2017. Some of these forays will be incidental to travel, some will be vacations, while others will be deliberate road-trips to outlying counties to complete this mission. Of course my first county of 2017 was the county of my residence -- San Mateo County.
