Jesus taught the people how to live a godly life. His most famous ethical teaching was spoken from a hillside and is called the “Sermon on the Mount”. Jesus said that He did not come to destroy the law of Moses, but to fulfill the law. Jesus taught, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. Jesus told us that we are lights in the world and salt of the earth. The great teacher taught us how to pray using the words “Our Father who is in heaven”. He taught us to store up treasure in heaven, to stop worrying about tomorrow, and especially to obey the golden rule: “treat people the same way you want them to treat you”. When He finished this great sermon, the people were amazed at His teaching.
