I bet it was tough. Good luck. Simon seems to be doing better. He's been visiting Sung Young lately. He is sharing an apartment nowdays. Send a post card to him at: 2109 NW Irving, APT 406, Portland OR 97217. I have a rough itinerary. > Dec 18 -- Leave SF > Dec 19 -- arrive in Frankfort at 720 AM. Night in Pragueue. > Dec 20 -- (meet Zac) night in Krakow > Dec 21 -- night in Krakow (visit to Orwiecim) > Dec 22 -- night in Budepest > Dec 23 -- night in Vienna (or Budepest) Dec 24 -- night in Krakow > Dec 25 -- night in Krakow > Dec 26 -- night in Warsaw (or Gdansk) Dec 27 -- night in Berlin > Dec 28 -- night in Berlin > Dec 29 -- night in Frankfort (or leave Berlin at 2AM)(leave Zac) > Dec 30 -- leave Frankfort at 1025 AM Tell me what you think. If you want a friend to travel with us, that's OK the car has four seats. DOD ********************* the exam isn't until this weekend. There is a possibility that I might come back early, and that I might change my plane tickets. The program here is ending earlier than I thought because a large number of students are here as part of an exchange program on a trimester system and will be gone December 13. Also, the Harmonics lost a bass and I might consider coming back. We can talk all about it when you get here. Anyway, regardless of what happens, I have a friend in Paris and want to see London, so I might want to change my return ticket to leave from Heathrow instead of from Frankfurt because i think it might be cheaper (I would have to take the train back to Frankfurt which is fairly far). The itinerary. Here is my counter proposal: Dec 20:meet you in Prague (600km) Dec21: Munich or Salzburg (350km) 22: Vienna (350km) 23:Budapest(240km) 24-26: Krakow(260km (but over Carpathian mountains, could be hard) 26:Berlin (500km) 27:Hamburg(250km) 28:Brussels (500km) (Zach stays behind with friend) 29:Frankfurt (350km) 30: leave at 10:25 I think that I might be able to stay with a friend in Brussels and then take a bus (24hrs!) for about 100 dollars. I'll find out more. If you want to stay in Berlin longer (it's under too much construction) then we can skip Hamburg.Anyway, How does that sound? I wanted to go to cities that I haven't been to before as well as be with you guys as much as possible. Western Europe is expensive but cheaper when with other people, especially when those other people are your parents :) We don't have to decide now. I will try to see what my friends in Germany, Belgium are doing and maybe I can stay with them. I will see you soon. Zach |
