35 e-mails chronicling the last year of Jack's life

E-MAIL #26 ~ 11/29/07

Dear Family and Friends,

I am very happy to let you know that Jack is getting out of the hospital next Wednesday the 5th of Dec. He was in here for 4 months, except for 3 days. It's been a long road with many unexpected turns, Jack was very sick and is still very weak and we have to stay down here for a while for physical therapy and outpatient treatment, but this is the first step and we thank the Lord for this.

The next step is getting home to Colleyville. I will be down here with Jack as his caregiver. and we will be staying at the Hotel (Rotary House) attached to MD Anderson. This way we don't have to deal with transportation, Buses are uncomfortable and parking is $20 a day so we decided to make it as easy on both of us as possible.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers, we are still not there yet - but on our way.

Have a blessed Christmas Season, I hope we will be able to come home for Christmas for a couple of days.

Love to All, Barbara
